V8 Twin Turbo Track Monster!

Immico is proud to have recently completed a full thermal management solution for MacG Racing, supporting the development of their V8 twin turbo Ultima track car.

Built as a true track-focused machine, the primary objective of this project was clear: significantly reduce engine bay temperatures to improve reliability, consistency, and overall performance under extreme conditions.

To achieve this, Immico designed and manufactured a complete integral insulation package, covering the exhaust manifolds, turbine housings, wastegates, and catalytic pipes.

The solution combines our 304 stainless steel dimpled foil. Selected to match the base exhaust material, with our 6mm silica needlemat insulation.

This setup is rated to withstand temperatures up to 1050°C and is capable of delivering up to a 75% reduction in surface temperatures. The result is a highly durable, long-life solution engineered specifically for the demands of high-performance track use.

Projects like this highlight the importance of effective thermal management in modern motorsport, where controlling heat is critical not only for performance, but for component longevity and reliability over extended running.
