Ash Sutton has become the first driver in the history of the British Touring Car Championship to win five titles, sealing the 2026 crown in style at Silverstone with NAPA Racing UK. As the team's Technical Partner since 2023, Immico is delighted to have played its part in a historic season.

Sutton arrived at Silverstone on Sunday 27 September needing just a single point from Race 2 to wrap up the championship. Starting from 12th on the grid, he chose to win it outright instead.

By lap nine of 22, the #116 Ford Focus had carved its way through to the front, with a decisive late switch down the inside of Daryl De Leon on the run to Copse sealing the lead. From there, Sutton controlled the race to the flag, finishing more than five seconds clear of Adam Morgan and celebrating his fifth title with a burnout across the line.

It was his ninth win of 2026, the 56th of his BTCC career, and his 18th podium from 25 races this season. Teammate Dan Cammish added to a strong day for the team, charging from the back of the grid to sixth to keep his fight for second in the Drivers' Championship alive.

A championship built on detail

Winning a single race takes speed. Winning a BTCC title takes consistency, across ten circuits, changing conditions and a full season of hard racing, where reliability is every bit as important as outright pace.

That is where Immico's work begins. As NAPA Racing UK's Technical Partner, Immico supplies specialist thermal management solutions that control heat around high-energy exhaust systems and protect the critical components around them, helping the team maintain repeatable performance from the first practice session of the season to the last lap.

Commenting on an amazing weekend, Stuart Thorp, Managing Director, Immico, said:

"Congratulations to Ash and everyone at NAPA Racing UK on a truly historic achievement. Five BTCC titles is something no driver has done before, and to see it sealed with a drive from 12th to victory at Silverstone was special.

Over four seasons, our relationship with NAPA Racing UK has grown into a genuine technical partnership. The team pushes every component to its limit, and that has pushed us to keep refining our thermal management solutions so they deliver the reliability and repeatability a championship-winning car demands. We're proud to have played our part.

Heat is one of the biggest threats to performance and reliability in any race car. The lessons we've learned at the sharp end of the BTCC go into everything we design and build. For any team dealing with thermal management challenges, whatever the series, the best first step is a conversation with us. We'll look at the problem, understand what the car needs and find the right solution."

Proven at the sharp end of UK motorsport

Since 2023, Immico's partnership with NAPA Racing UK has placed its technology in one of the most demanding testing grounds in British motorsport. Touring cars run close, hard and hot, and every component has to perform under sustained heat and punishment, weekend after weekend.

For Immico, this season's success is further proof that its thermal management solutions deliver where performance, durability and repeatability matter most.

When heat becomes your problem, Immico provide the solutions.
