What an opening weekend at Snetterton for the reigning Caterham Academy White Group Champion Paul Oggelsby in the Caterham 270R Championship! Paul skipped a year in the Caterham ladder and the Immico liveried car launched into a weekend full of wheel to wheel racing, tough battles, and big lessons but above all, an unbelievable amount of fun.

Race 1 saw Paul battling at the front before the notorious Caterham tow effect shuffled him from fourth to second back to fifth on the final few corners. Race 2 delivered another intense scrap, with Paul finishing sixth, right in the thick of the action.

Race 3 promised more excitement, but an unfortunate unavoidable incident with a number of cars ended the weekend early with radiator damage. Despite the DNF, the experience across the weekend was brilliant.

Paul was full of praise for the outstanding support from RS Motorsport throughout the event and the guidance of young British GT talent Alex Walker, whose insight and encouragement were invaluable.

"Such an awesome weekend," Paul said. "Great battles, lots learned, and fantastic to be part of a team environment with RS Motorsport and have Alex in my corner. Bring on Thruxton!"
